It has been a number of years since a two day trial has been held in Alderney primarily due to the difficulty and logistics of getting to Alderney .
The introduction of the new air charter company Waves and increased daily sailings this year to Guernsey allowing onward flights to Alderney provide a number of alternative options in travelling to Alderney .
The JCMTC in conjunction with GMC & LCC (Guernsey Motor Cylce and Light Car Club) intend to run a two day trial on the 29th & 30th September this year ,and also open to those juniors competing in Sportsman route and above who will be transported around for the road work .
The trial as mentioned above will be run by both clubs on an observed trial basis one day under AMCA non stop rules and the following day under ACU stop rules basis , covering all modern and classic classes in Expert to Sportsman routes .
It has been agreed by both clubs to introduce a Channel Island 6 day championship across all classes and routes with Alderney being the inaugural trial in the series then the Jersey 2 day trial in early March 19 and culminating in the Guernsey 2 day trial later in March 19 .
Senior riders competing in all 3 trial events in the series in the same class and route will be eligible for awards for the Channel Island Six day competition which will be in addition to awards for each event ,full details of regulations will be published at a later date .
The JC&MTC will provide and cover the costs of bike transportation to and from the Alderney event (max 50 bikes) , via Channel Seaways
